“It’s not about making shoes for show — it’s about making shoes that go.”
- Edward Harrington, Founder.
Built by Hand, Borne for the Everyday
These boots are hand-assembled in a small workshop on the Welsh border, where every stitch and seam is placed with intent. The upper is made from oil-tanned cowhide, giving it a supple, almost lived-in feel from the first wear. Rugged soles are Goodyear-welted to weather long miles and unpredictable streets, while the padded collar supports your stride like a well-worn leather saddle.
Why You’ll Reach for These Again and Again
-
City Tough, Country Ready
With a hard-wearing tread and water-resistant leather, these boots handle wet pavements and muddy lanes with equal grace. -
Heritage Without Pretence
From the embossed "1905" detailing to the contrast heel panel, every nod to history feels quietly confident — never costume. -
Comfort That Lasts All Day
Thanks to a cushioned insole and padded lining, they’re as comfortable at the pub as they are on your feet for hours.
Boots with a Bit of History
Lace-up boots of this nature trace their roots to early 20th-century workwear — designed for traction, protection, and endurance. The addition of a side zipper, however, brings it into the modern day: easy on, easy off, no fuss. The embossed year “1905” pays homage to the golden age of honest utility.
How to Wear Them
Best with selvedge denim or cuffed cargo trousers — but don’t be afraid to smarten them up with a wool overcoat and rolled chinos. In brown, go earthy: think greens and greys. In black, you’ve got a tougher edge — lean into it with dark jeans or a casual tailored trouser.
